The KR500(C) can take high-quality photos from passports, ID cards, and travel papers using visible, infrared, and ultraviolet light. It has a 500 DPI, 5-megapixel CMOS sensor and can scan RFID tags to verify smart cards. It also uses OCR to get data. Automatic document detection and auto-classification make operations easier and cut down on mistakes made by people, which is why it’s a good choice for security desks, check-ins, and registration terminals.
