Electronic Signature Pads

Because technology is moving so swiftly, the necessity for paper is going away soon. More and more businesses are using Wacom Signature Pads as a safe and easy method to get digital signatures.

Wacom Signature Pads are known for being clear and reliable, so every signature is simple to see. Their sleek, contemporary designs make them look great on counters, kiosks, and workstations, and they also operate well.

Real-World Performance

When you need electronic signatures, the device must be reliable and the handwriting must be clear. Wacom Signature Pads do both because the pen sensor technology is built into the display, not the signing surface. That means that Wacom signature pads won’t become worn out or scratched on the screen, and their ergonomic shape makes them pleasant to use.

Reliable Accuracy

Wacom electronic pens don’t need any maintenance either. The pen doesn’t need batteries or cables to send signals, which gets rid of two typical problems. Last but not least, Wacom signature pads collect a lot of biometric data that makes it possible to check electronic signatures accurately. This is a vital aspect of a multi-factor authentication strategy when significant papers need to be signed and verified.

Japanees Technology

Wacom is a well-known Japanese technology company that started in 1983. It makes cutting-edge tools for collecting and authenticating handwritten electronic signatures. Wacom has been coming up with new ideas for more than 40 years, and it delivers the best mix of dependability, accuracy, and confidence.

This design makes sure that it lasts, doesn’t scratch, and doesn’t need any maintenance. It also comes with battery-free, cordless pens for even more dependability.

All of the devices collect a lot of biometric data, such pen pressure, tilt, speed, and hardware-specific identifiers. This data is used for improved signature verification and secure authentication. Also, high-end versions like the STU-540 come with industrial-grade encryption and function with virtual environments, making them perfect for operations that need a lot of protection.

Independent handwriting specialists have praised the high quality of Wacom-captured handwritten signatures, confirming that they are clear, real, and may be used in court.

What legislation in the UAE apply to electronic signatures?

Background

The UAE legal and regulatory system is dynamic and subject to frequent changes in application and interpretation. In addition, as the UAE is a civil law jurisdiction, in contrast to common law jurisdictions, there is no binding system of judicial precedent to rely upon. There is also, on occasion, some divergence between the strict legal position and “accepted” practices.

UAE

Federal Law No. 10 of 1992 concerning Law of Evidence in Civil and Commercial Transactions (as amended by Federal Law No. 36 of 2006) (“Evidence Law”). A contract may not be deemed invalid or unenforceable solely because it is in electronic format. Further, the Evidence Law states that electronic signatures as defined under the Electronic Transactions Law have the same evidential authority as handwritten signatures so long as they meet the legal standards.

What constitutes an electronic signature in the UAE?

The UAE Electronic Transactions Law defines an “electronic signature” as “any letters, numbers, symbols, voice or processing system in electronic form applied to, incorporated in, or logically associated with an electronic message with the intention of authenticating or approving the same.”
