What Is Bi-Directional?
When someone is allowed to enter, a turnstile has either a glass or a rod that spins or rotates one point. The housing for the turnstile may be constructed of stainless steel, glass, or a combination of the two, depending on what the client wants. The turnstile may revolve in both directions: clockwise and counterclockwise.
One turnstile may be used for both entrance and exit. When someone is allowed to go through from one side, the turnstile spins clockwise and the counterclockwise rotation is locked.
When someone comes from the opposite side, the turnstile spins counterclockwise, and the clockwise turn is locked.
